SAP Ariba Consultant / Senior Consultant (f/m/d)

We are looking for an SAP Ariba professional to join our team in Spain and contribute to procurement transformation projects covering Procure-to-Pay and Source-to-Contract. The position is open to candidates with different levels of experience. The scope, level of ownership and career level will be determined during the selection process based on the candidate’s SAP Ariba expertise, project experience and ability to work autonomously.

• Support and guide customers throughout the lifecycle of SAP Ariba implementation and optimisation projects, from requirements gathering and solution design through configuration, testing, deployment and post-go-live support.
• Work across SAP Ariba Source-to-Contract and Procure-to-Pay processes, focusing on the solution areas that match your experience and the needs of each project.
• Participate in customer workshops, analyse business requirements and translate them into functional designs and SAP Ariba configurations.
• Configure and support SAP Ariba solutions such as Buying, Guided Buying, Invoicing, Sourcing, Contracts and Supplier Lifecycle and Performance, depending on project scope and individual experience.
• Advise customers on procurement-process improvements and recommend appropriate SAP Ariba standard functionality and best-practice approaches.
• Prepare functional specifications, configuration documentation, test scenarios, and user or training materials.
• Perform functional and end-to-end testing, support user acceptance testing, and contribute to the analysis and resolution of incidents and defects.
• Collaborate with integration and technical teams on interfaces between SAP Ariba and SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA.
• Work closely with customers and colleagues in international and multicultural project teams.
• Depending on your experience, facilitate workshops, take ownership of functional workstreams, and coordinate project activities.

Must Have

• Hands-on experience in SAP Ariba implementation, configuration or optimisation projects.
• Practical experience with at least one SAP Ariba solution area, such as Buying, Guided Buying, Invoicing, Sourcing, Contracts or Supplier Lifecycle and Performance.
• Good understanding of Procure-to-Pay and/or Source-to-Contract processes from both a business-process and SAP Ariba solution perspective.
• Experience gathering and analysing business requirements and translating them into functional designs or system configurations.
• Experience with relevant project activities such as configuration, testing, user acceptance testing, defect resolution or deployment support.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured and customer-oriented approach.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with customers and cross-functional project teams.
• Ability to work independently within your area of responsibility while collaborating effectively with the wider project team.
• Very good written and spoken English, with the ability to work in an international project environment.
• Willingness to travel to customer and company locations when required by the project.

Nice to Have

• Experience across both Procure-to-Pay and Source-to-Contract, or an interest in developing expertise beyond your current primary area.
• Knowledge of SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA Materials Management processes and their relationship with SAP Ariba.
• Experience with SAP Integration Suite, managed gateway for spend management and SAP Business Network, previously known as Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG).
• Knowledge of SAP Business Network and supplier enablement or transactional collaboration scenarios.
• Knowledge of AI use cases applied to procurement processes.
• Experience contributing to the definition of customer procurement and SAP Ariba roadmaps.
• Experience coordinating project activities, facilitating customer workshops or leading a functional workstream.
• Experience working on international roll-outs or global-template implementations.
• SAP Ariba certifications in one or more relevant solution areas.
• Experience in pre-sales activities, solution scoping, effort estimation or proposal preparation.
• Professional proficiency in an additional European language.
